Learn how to create Posts and connect your Team on Connexwork
ConnexWork has three kinds of posts:
- Post: Share updates, safety tips, or general info with your team.
- Recognition: Give a shout-out to a teammate for great work.
- Announcement: For managers only, used to share important news.
Post and Recognize
ConnexWork offers two types of posts for all users: Post and Recognize. Here’s a quick guide on how to use each!
To create a post, start by clicking Start a new post… at the top of your feed. This will bring up options to either create a post or recognize a teammate.
Default Post
The Post option is great for highlighting a teammate’s hard work. To start a post first go to the post tab if its not already selected. Once you select Post, you’ll need to add a few details. First, choose a Tag to label the type of post you’re making. Tags let your team know what the post is about. Some tags will be marked in red, which means an admin needs to approve the post before it’s visible to others. Company moderators are able to add new tags by going to the company settings in the admin portal.
After tagging, add a Description. This is where you briefly explain what you’re sharing. Keep it clear so everyone on the team knows what’s happening. If you’re only making a text post, you’re good to go!
If you’d like to add more, you can include a photo or tag teammates. To add a photo, click the photo icon on the left. To tag a teammate, click the worker icon. These extra details can help your post stand out and make it more engaging.
When you’re done, press Post. Your post will appear in the feed, and you’ll earn points toward company rewards!
Recognize
The Recognize option is great for highlighting a teammate’s hard work. To start a recognition, go to the recognize tab and click recognize a coworker. This will let you select who you’d like to celebrate for a job well done.
Once you choose your teammate(s), you’ll need to pick how many points to give. These points are deducted from your points to give balance, not from the points you have earned. Each teammate will receive these points, which they can use toward rewards. Keep in mind that there’s a limit to the points you can give each month, which your company sets.
After choosing the points, add the rest of the content to your post. Follow the same steps as a regular post to add tags, a description, photos, or tags for teammates.
Click Post when you’re ready, and your recognition will appear on the feed, inspiring others and giving your teammates well-deserved points for rewards!
Inform
The Inform post type is a special feature available only to moderators through the admin portal. This type of post is ideal for making important announcements that stand out on employees’ feeds.
To create an Inform post, log in to the admin portal. You can start by clicking Make a Post in the quick actions menu on the homepage, or go to the Posts tab and click on Create Post. Here, you’ll see options to make any type of post, including Inform posts.
While creating a post, you can also make it on behalf of the company. Just check the box that says, Is this made on behalf of your company? before publishing. You can even schedule posts to appear at specific times on employees’ feeds, ensuring your message reaches everyone at the best moment.
The Inform post is unique because it allows admins to make important announcements. Inform posts are highlighted in a distinct color on users’ feeds, making them easy to spot. When creating an Inform post, you’ll see a field called Announce As. By default, Inform posts are created as the company, but if you need additional profiles, contact support.
These posts are perfect for giveaways, employee recognition, or any important updates you want everyone to see.
